A one-day symposium and tabletop exhibition was held at the Birmingham Medical Institute in Birmingham, England. Organized jointly by the Surface Engineering Association, the Institute of Metal Finishing and the Nickel Institute, it was designed to provide essential information to employees and health and safety professionals in the surface finishing industry. Support was provided by the Health & Safety Executive.
